  1. The Voice is most definitely down on last year’s finale. I don’t think Nine would be overly thrilled with those numbers, to be honest, good as they may be. I am sure they would have expected higher than that. Interestingly, I was listening to an interview on radio yesterday about the show, and despite the fact that it is now produced in several countries, it has not produced one hit artist in the way that Idol or the Got Talent franchises has (Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert,Susan Boyle, Leona Lewis, One Direction etc). Hmmmm, so much for the judge’s continual “you’re gonna be a worldwide star” hyperbole.

Amazing that HR scored 1.4M, I thought it would be wiped out by TV, that it would only get about 600-700K. I agree that it is now a bona fide hit, after a slow start. I watched last night’s reveal – great episode. Loved, loved, loved the kitchen!!!

  2. I dont think 9 would be that thrilled with the Voice numbers considering it was the finale for one of the most watched series of the year. Surely they would have been hoping for 2.5m+? MKR got 2.4 for some of the instant restaurant rounds.

Outstanding results for House Rules considering the competition – 7 have a hit on their hands. I would expect house reveals to hit 1.6m next week with less competition.
