16 Comments:

  1. The Truth Is was great TV, a shame it isn’t on a successful network because it would surely rate.

Agree that 10 should have reality (MC) at 7pm.

  2. I actually quite enjoyed The Truth Is, though I only tuned in after House Rules was finally over at almost 9pm. It’s a shame to see that it’s done pretty poorly.

Masterchef has been a bit mediocre to watch thus far, so I hope it improves. I was hoping that they would mix things up a bit with the move to Melbourne, but it just feels like the same old dated show (which the ratings are reflecting)…

  3. Secret Squirrel

I’m another one who, for various reasons, didn’t watch The Americans after enjoying the pilot. It doesn’t really pair with The Truth Is and is on at the same time as Breaking Bad and Dexter, with which I think there would be some crossover in the demos (I watched BB – it was excellent). Might catch The Americans online later.

  4. I enjoyed masterchef last night much more interesting then the voice. It is disappointing that it didn’t rate.

I was really looking forward to the voice this year and it now appears to be limping to the finish line. I don’t look forward to it and I fast forwarded alot of yesterdays episode. I’m glad its almost over.

  5. Not see Major Crimes yet, not realized Nine had started it, I have been watching The Americans, sad the ratings are not better. Maybe TEN should have fast tracked this one?

  6. @randwick

Channel 10 premiered The Americans at 8:30pm Monday, a good slot, with plenty of promotion. They repeated it behind their 2nd most popular drama on Sunday night.

That is hardly mucking about with its scheduling.

The problem is that only 427k people wanted to watch it because they would rather watch The Voice, House Rules/Revenge or Four Corners. It was never going to rate much above 300k after that.

  7. How much did The Truth Is? get? Also, House Rules probably gets a lot of ratings because The Block finishes at 7:30 for The Voice. If the whole house reveal wasn’t on, MasterChef will probably get more ratings.

  8. We watched The Americans, and will catch up with Major Crimes online – can’t be bothered waiting for it to start on Nine when The Voice always runs over time.

  9. ten – re my last comment that you killed off the Americans ….. told you so ……

If this continues with the low ratings, because you mucked around with the scheduling within it’s first week ……..

can you tell your shareholders how you intend on repaying them back for the poor planning you have displayed on this program?

  10. The Americans could only manage 299k. Shame, its pilot was the best of the season.

Masterchef is going the same way as Masterchef Professionals. People will watch it when there is less competition but it runs 3rd in the battle of the top rating competition shows and gets smashed.

  11. Sad to see Major Crimes was not in top 20 like first two episodes were. But i suppose no surprise when its on Monday night and is delayed by forty minutes because of the voice. What ratings did Major Crimes get? can’t find it anywhere.
