16 Comments:

  1. I’ll admit I’m curious about the ratings for the repeat of the Paper Giants Sequel. I’m glad that ABC News and the other two shows afterwards rated well. Including Catalyst.

  2. So house rules goes like this; 6 teams, all too broke to do their own Reno won a spot on the show. 5 teams Reno the others house over 1 week. All scored etc. At the end the winners, highest scores over all weeks I guess, get their mortgage paid off. No stupid voting out so there is no scamming or backstabbing just a damn lot of hard work. Theyare all doing a great job and the houses look great. I’m loving it. I’d watch the block too but I just don’t have time!

  3. Masterclass never has rated high. Last nights figures are good. All the knockers can hope for poor ratings but the reality is, thatvthe show is rating pretty good, so early in ths peace. I am not a fan of auditions and love the new format better. Looking forward to the Barossa Valley SA episodes next week from Sunday. 🙂

  4. I think Ten’s promotional department needs to be sacked! Ten has had no clue over the past year how to make a good promo! I mean it’s the thing that gets everyone’s attention but they have failed on basically every show so far this year.
Take note of how seven does it Ten.

  5. @ ryan,
I’ve often asked that same question myself. Methinks you would have to be either extremely brave or stupid as some of the homes looked better before the renovations than afterwards. No way would I let any of them anywhere near my fibro mansion.

    @ ghghgh,
Why so sensitive? Many shows I enjoy get bagged on a regular basis and I haven’t lost one second of sleep because of it. What makes MC an untouchable? If you like the show, watch and enjoy it and as for the criticism, get over it.
By the way, one episode (The final) with a reasonable audience does not and did not make TBL a success.

  6. @bettestreep2008. People actually watch the Block and HR. Thus the “free pass” When HR debuted to horrible ratings it copped flack.

  7. Maybe someone can explain how house rules works, do you just enter and get your house renovated? I have only seen part of 1 ep so I have no idea:)

  8. ghghgh20_211

I love Masterchef and I hate people bagging the show.

    1) If you bag the show then you must watch it. I can’t believe how many negative comments people have on the show. If you hate it so much then don’t watch it, don’t blog about it, don’t comment on it. A show people hate but have to write about it seems strange to me

    2) Masterclass never rates well. The first few series of MC were like 1mill+ for daily shows and then masterclass was on and it never got above 500k.

    3) The show will improve when House Rules ends. The people watching that show will want something else to move on to and will come to MC

    4) It’s just the first week…omg!! Everyone said how badly Biggest Loser was going and then the finale came, got over 1mill ratings and people said it was a success

    5) Calm down everyone!! MC is a great show and will continue to be a great show.

  9. IMO the word woeful accurately sums up all three, namely the Block, House Rules and Masterchef, but all three have a following of some sought, as it takes all types to make up our wacky world.

Being a thoughtful bloke attempting to live a meaningful life, I never miss Miniscule and Shawn the Sheep….Top stuff.
    .

  10. I think Seven can now consider House Rules a success, so should probably plan for a second series. Beginning of the end for Masterchef, methinks, though the Masterclass episode never rates well, I don’t recall it going as low as this.
