8 Comments:

  1. Wow first time I checked ratings for a while. Felt clever coz I knew the new rules.
Like the % at the top.
Also like the Consolidated, but I was tempted to compare and then realised not to.

Also hope 9 are happy they lost in Total, but was higher on demos that 7 news.

Still ridiculous. Since 1/4 ratings matter to advertisers can we get a breakdown of all shows in 15 minute increments? That way we can see which quarter was more popular and a show could nab the top 4 spots for meaningful data!?!

  2. Chivasssimo and JB, I think Seven’s marginally higher news ratings for the last 2 nights might have something to do with the fact that the tennis is on. Viewers of the tennis are not going to change channels just for a news service. I think in these circumstances Nine would be very pleased with their news ratings for the hour. The BBL ratings were disappointing, much lower than I had expected.

  3. Monday has become a tough night for Ten but better than it was last year thanks to BBL T20 Cricket.

Thank you David for linking to that excellent article for Oztam metering and where it may be heading, hopefully 🙂

  4. So is Nine happy with this hour long News position? I mean how are they looking at it. Seven news beats Nine News, Today Tonight beats ACA, but Nine News 6.30 beats TT. Is that really winning?

  5. It has been amusing watching Fairfax Media go on and on about Orphan Black all week and how it will save SBS. We can’t see how it actually did because the list mostly tells us what <12s were watching in the afternoon, but it didn't trouble the scorer and SBS2 got a 1% share.

Admittedly I recorded it because I started watching the Tomic/Nadal game. Though I gave up when Tomic started feeling his groin in the first game, I didn't wasn't in the mood for something complicated so watched some comedies on the DVR.
