ASTRA Awards highlights

This year highlights of the ASTRA Awards can be seen on STV channels on the same night the awards are held in Sydney.

FOX8, Arena, The Comedy Channel, The LifeStyle Channel, Bio, LifeStyle YOU, Channel V and Max
will feature highlights packages of the event from 7.30pm to 10pm. These will include red carpet fashion coverage, interviews with personalities and latest winner announcements.

While it isn’t a full broadcast, it improves on recent years which screened highlights several days later.

“We are delighted that so many Australians will get to enjoy real time highlights from the ASTRA Awards during next week’s ceremony,” ASTRA CEO Andrew Maiden said.

“Viewers will experience the quality, diversity and creativity of content that is celebrated on subscription television’s night of the year”.

Paul Murray Live will broadcast from the red carpet on SKY News from 9pm. Murray will also host green room interviews. He will be joined by panellists including Janine Perrett and Chris Kenny. This is the first time he has broadcast his show live from the ASTRAs.

The ASTRA Awards will be held on Thursday March 20, hosted by Shaynna Blaze and Matt Shirvington.
