Bumped: Bones. Returning: Strip the City.

2014-03-28_1108Seven is tweaking its Thursday nights yet again which will see Bones move from an 8:30 to a 9:30 start time.

Next Thursday it screens a London episode of Strip the City at 8:30pm (it has previously screened a Sydney-based episode).

“Underground City: London”
Beneath the streets of London, lies a parallel universe. As its buildings soar higher, so its tunnels go deeper. London has more infrastructures built underground than any city in the world. Join engineers working in this vast underground city – from tunnel builders digging a brand new underground train line 40m beneath the city to squads of workers scrubbing its sewer tunnels to prevent outbreaks of disease.

Plans for a 9:30pm movie are now out with a new Bones in play followed by Botched Up Bodies at 10:30pm. Young Lazy and Driving Us Crazy is still on air (who knew?) now at 11:30pm.

  1. Bones is looking like a show that viewers have moved on from. In the US it lost most of its 18-49 viewers when it was moved to Friday to create a slot for Almost Human and they didn’t return when it moved back to Monday.

Here it was doing OK on Thursday before ratings. But with Seven stuffing it around hasn’t been able to compete against Nine’s lineup anchored by The Block, the ABC’s lineup or SVU.

Seven are repeating Resurrection on Sunday after DA (in Sydney), trying to minimise the drop off in numbers.

  2. Just great… Not
    Here in Adelaide we have
    7-9pm Home and Away
    9-10pm Bones
    10-12am Bruce Almighty
12-1:10am Young, Lazy and Driving Us Crazy

I don’t want to see Bruce Almighty again, I want to see Strip the City. What is wrong with Seven? Standardise your programming.

  3. Unusual to see Strip the City on Seven, when it was only on SBSOne recently, well not that episode, but the series.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll put it in the PVR and adjust it 5 times before next Thursday to be sure I get the whole recording.

  4. Not a huge fan of Bones but I do watch. Terrible treatment of it this time round. Yes there was news specials on on week but that didnt mean you had to put Air Crash Investigations on a week later.

I’m surprised to see how much crap Seven are putting up on Thursdays.
