Next week’s schedules: The Voice awaits MKR finale

Updated: Schedules are locked in for next week, with House Rules and the last ever How I Met Your Mother.

S3_Pete & Manu_36340_resizeSchedules are now confirmed for next week.

Failing some red herrings and amendments, it would seem Nine is holding off its new local shows until My Kitchen Rules is done.

Seven’s cooking show has its grand final next Tuesday night. Nine has scheduled 3 x Big Bang premieres across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and of course Logies this weekend.

That probably means Sunday May 4 or Monday May 5, will see the launch for The Voice, MasterChef Australia and House Rules.

TEN has its Modern Family “Australia” episode this Sunday, plus the grand final for So You Think You Can Dance Australia a few days later.

Meanwhile ABC has Parer’s War on Sunday and SBS has Fargo on May 1st.

  1. I’m surprised there is so much TBBT! I don’t watch it myself, but find it odd to saturate it over a few nights, it’s like they’re telling us they know they won’t win ratings on those nights & are banking on The Voice. If they varied their content it wouldn’t seem so obvious.

  2. How disappointing that Seven couldn’t have fasttracked the final episodes of How I Met Your Mother on 7mate in a decent timeslot, there are spoilers everywhere. I’m guessing Grey’s Anatomy will replace Mother on Monday nights after Revenge.

Shame that Seven are giving Resurrection the on again, off again treatment considering its one of the highest rated dramas of the year.

Nine are wasting new eps of Big Bang up against MKR, the same goes for Mom if they want it to be successful.

  3. Thanks David for this news. So the Intelligence being on Wednesday was a big fake out. Due to that show I just wonder how much I’ll have to avoid stuff on the network. Other than that it looks like a good line up.

I hope people that like Ten’s The Living Room have noticed a special on Wednesday 7.30pm.

Lastly is Nine being optimistic that the Logies will end before midnight even though they don’t start too late?

  4. Going on the buckets of tears splashed around most of the instant restaurants during the finals this week, has MKR just morphed into a ‘Soup Opera’.?

  5. Mom is a great and funny TV show and has a chance to rate well but why put it against My Kitchen rules. I think it would have been a great decision to show double episodes of TTBT and then after double episodes of Mom to challenge Downtown Abbey. Don’t get 9’s decision of the new episodes of The Big Bang Theory at 7:30 over 3 nights, while MKR is there.

Modern Family, I hope rates well on 10 and I awaiting to watch the Aussie Adventure. The Miller Premier is not a bad decision to put it after Modern Family because viewers from that show will tune in to watch it since it is right after it and there is another new episode after it. \

7 will, I believe handout win the week with the MKR finals and many premiers.

  6. According to a promo aired at the end of tonight’s Ressurection, it returns in 2 weeks. So it seems Seven have scheduled something else for 9:30 next Tuesday.

  7. I wonder how this will work, as TV2 in NZ has 3 episodes already scheduled for Friday 2 May (7.30pm-9.10pm), Saturday 3 May (7.00pm-8.40pm) and Friday 9 May (7.30pm-9.00pm). I’m assuming they will have to pull the episodes now.

  8. Not sure if you have been given notice of this David but Seven just aired a House Rules ad promoting it premieres 7:30pm next Wednesday.

    Let the scheduling games begin…

  9. As Intelligence has not been renewed in the US I doubt if c7 will persevere with it As for Agents of Shield the current episodes are tied to the Captain America movie storyline (I am sure they wont want to upset Disney)

  10. @ Pertinax

Bones hasn’t had a chance this year. Its been cancelled last minute for specials and moved around the schedule to different nights. Its very hard to chase around the schedule and there is no option to watch on plus 7.

  11. Sitcoms back at 7:30pm like in the old days. Only for one week though (sigh).

Intelligence obviously wasn’t going to stay in Wednesday with The Blacklist returning. Turns out it is a Bones replacement they hope will do better against The Footy Show.

  12. I was going to watch The Voice this year because of Kylie, but after watching the previews, she seems to be even more fake than Delta, if that is possible. So I will stick with House Rules, which I’m sure will be as good, if not better than last season.

  13. Think all reality shows drag on and on especially as some are on 5 nights a week, really boring, just watch the final couple of shows to see who wins, and we still have another lot of the Block to go and House Rules, think House Rules is a better show, 9 are going to kill The Block with so many shows each year, they have good ratings for a while so flog it to death, this happened with Master Chef.

  14. The rerun of the instant restaurant rounds of MKR hasn’t been good. Its why I stuck around after wanting to give it up due to the food trucks being a bad idea. Its dragging now. Should’ve finished before easter. Just want to see who wins now. Haven’t even bothered with last nights ep yet. Will check out the voice but after last season not being as good as the first and the new judges not seeing much there but will see when it starts. Have MKR fatigue now and don’t know how that will effect my masterchef viewing. Looking fwd to offspring and 24.
