Airdate: In Her Skin

SBS 2 is set to screen a Spanish telenovela promising mystery, love, scandal, and a psychic dog.

2014-08-13_1701SBS 2 is emocionado (that’s “excited” in Spanish) to screen one of Spanish network Telemundo’s telenovelas, In Her Skin (En otra piel)

Promising mystery, love, scandal, a psychic dog called Pacho, two murdered souls fighting for the control of one body, plus a sexy cast, In Her Skin is the latest international acquisition for SBS 2.

Director of Television, Tony Iffland said: “Since SBS 2 relaunched just over a year ago one of its strengths has been introducing new ground breaking, critically acclaimed, and engaging content from around the world to younger Australian audiences.

“Having already brought French drama series The Returned, Canadian thriller Orphan Black, Swedish sci-fi series Real Humans, Chinese dating show If You Are The One, and most recently India’s Dancing Superstar to free to air television, a telenovela felt like the logical next step to further expand SBS 2’s already diverse offering.

In Her Skin really has it all – drama, action, supernatural elements, high production values and the glossy finish that audiences love telenovelas for.”

The series began in February and is based on the 2005 Telemundo telenovela El Cuerpo del Deseo.

In Her Skin follows the story of two women, Adriana a waitress with a gangster (Carlos) on her tail chasing a gambling debt incurred by her brother, and Monica Serrano, a famous pianist with a great fortune. Both women come from very different worlds but share the same tragic and supernatural destiny that will unite them beyond death.

This story of love and vengeance goes beyond death as Adriana and Monica’s souls are united by a mysterious talisman, forcing them to share the same body and seek retribution for their unjust murders.

Sunday August 31 at 10.30pm on SBS 2.

  1. I’ll be checking this out but if it’s scheduled for 10:30 I have to assume that it’s not in the same class as all of those shows that Iffland listed.

And yeah, what Mr Johnson said.

  2. En Otra Piel is not from Spain, but from the US-based, Spanish-language studio Telemundo (it is filmed in Miami). Telemundo is owned by NBCUniversal, so this is the second brand new NBCUniversal program to air on SBS after Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
