US writer-producer Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives, Devious Maids) has his next project lined up: an action-adventure mystery drama project, Cheerleader Death Squad.
Cherry has partnered with Under The Dome showrunner Neal Baer for the project to be produced by CBS TV Studios, for The CW.
Blue Bloods executive producer Dan Truly will also co-write and produce.
Described as “Heathers meets Alias,” the series follows a disgraced CIA agent-turned-teacher at an elite Washington D.C. prep school. When he realises that his students have high-level access through personal connections, he trains a select few to be his eyes and ears into the world of international espionage and help him earn his way back into the agency.
Devious Maids, which airs in Australia on Universal, and Under The Dome were both recently renewed for third seasons.
