But this year gaming fans get extra goodness with Good Game: Pocket, a new daily iview show, hosted by comedian and former Starcraft pro, Michael Hing.
Good Game: Pocket, debuting on ABC iview, Monday 16 February, will be recorded and uploaded daily with news, reviews and interviews with developers and players.
Rebecca Heap, Head of TV Strategy and Digital Products, said: “We can’t wait to see Good Game: Pocket come to life on ABC iview, including on our newly launched app for PlayStation 4, and to develop and tailor the show based on suggestions and feedback from viewers on social media. Pocket is the first of several iview exclusives and digital-first commissions coming to ABC TV in 2015.”
Jon Casimir, ABC Head of Entertainment, said: “Good Game has always been more than just a TV show. This pioneering program meets its audiences where they are. It connects with its community via the shared experience of gaming, through social media and live events. We’re proud to announce that Pocket will bring a daily dose of Good Game’s astute gaming analysis and reporting to screens big and small, to mobiles and tablets and laptops and anywhere else that gamers can be found.”
Over on ABC2, Good Game returns from Tuesday, 17 February at 8.30pm. Join Bajo, Hex and roving reporter Goose, for the very latest game reviews, the hottest game and tech news, plus fascinating stories from the global culture of gaming.
