Weekend Today in Melbourne

On Saturday the Weekend Today show will have a rare broadcast from Melbourne, while their Sydney studio undergoes a technical upgrade.

A set is being readied for the GTV9 studio where Nine News is broadcast, featuring a Melbourne skyline embedded into the design, complemented by various Live shots of the city.

Deborah Knight said, “We are working around the clock to get our Melbourne set ready. We want to make sure it has a unique Melbourne feel”.

Cameron Williams added, “It’s great fun to take the show to the true home of coffee and pasta. Hopefully the set will have plenty of both. And a Hawthorn flag.”

On Sunday it’s business as usual from Sydney.

UPDATE: Weekend Today will be on air from 7am and live into QLD (an extra hour – QLD Only)

Cameron Williams will co-host from QLD, likely to be Kangaroo point as local airports are closed.

Deborah Knight, Wendy Kingston and Clint Stannaway will host from GTV Studio.
