Bogie Awards and then some….

Reader polls cite Mark Holden's clown act as the Most Embarrassing Moment of the TV year.

Both Fairfax and News Corp use Logie day to give the results of reader TV polls today, including some of the worst of the 2014 TV year.

Fairfax’s annual Bogie Award does not indicate how many voters participated, but amongst their results were:

Least real “Reality” show. The runners up were The Real Housewives of Melbourne and My Kitchen Rules. And the Bogie goes to The Bachelor Australia.

Smuggest talent quest judge. Runners-up: Alex Perry (Australia’s Next Top Model) and Matt Preston (MasterChef). Winner: Pete Evans (My Kitchen Rules).

Furthest past use-by date (The Bert Newton Trophy). Runners-up: The Block, Downton Abbey, QI, Grey’s Anatomy. Winner: Dancing with the Stars.

The Black Bogie (The Sandilands Chalice): Runners-up: David Koch, Eddie McGuire, Karl Stefanovic. Winner: Andrew Bolt.

  1. Well, I find it pretty hard to argue against any of those!

    But I can’t help thinking it’d just be easier to declare the whole of FTA TV in Australia a flop, past it’s use-by date, and embarassing…

  2. I find it rather odd that Farfax were negative towards I’m a Celeb while News Corp gave them more positive awards.

    I personally didn’t mind it as something that isn’t a cooking or Reno show.
