  1. Good on ya 7mate for broadcasting the soccer live during prime time on a week night & in HD. That’s the kind of reality tv I like & wished there was more. 🙂

  2. I know designated timeslots are almost non-existent now but I can’t help thinking that if 9 had a firm 8.30 start for Love Child it would rate over the million like All Saints did in its day on 7. I have only seen bits and pieces and whilst it is female skewed it seems decently acted and plotted. I assume it does large numbers on catchup but haven’t checked yet.

  3. That’s a large increase for The Project! Has anyone noticed the new set? The colours are a lot darker, almost as if it is returning to its 7PM Project beginnings.

    • New set looks awesome. Lighting seems better as well. I think Walleed is dragging in new viewers as he is giving the show more cred. Gorgi is also growing on me.

      • I agree with all you’ve said. The set is very much like the American “tonight shows” now. Everyone seems to have their own space on the desk now, not crowded together.

    • I felt one issue with the project was they had to many panelists. $ people all talking at the same time can be hard for us viewers to listen to. Personally l think they should cut it back to 3 plus any guests they have on. The program is pretty good and it’s not very heavy like other news programs on the same time. The set looks good. They aint far rom H&A numbers.

  4. I think the exercise was to saturate cooking show genre but it is not working as many people dislike that screaming swearing Chef from Britain and thus will not watch him, ever.

  5. Watched M/ Chef on 10.
Recorded NCIS for me and Love Child for my wife.
    Watched recordings after M/Chef.
Then I watched NCIS recorded earlier 🙂

  6. This is my first ever season of watching Masterchef, because I was never interested in it until I noticed my wife was watching the US version on YT and I was watching these horrible contestants being yelled at by these horrible hosts and I thought “wait, the Aussie version isnt like that, is it?”

I have really enjoyed watching this series. I’ve cheered for every contestant, loved every comment for the judges and ridden on the the rollercoaster it provides. In my opinion, this is great TV. Yes, its ‘reality’ – but its not mean spirited

Unfortunately I dont count in the ratings as I watch the program via catch-up, so I am 2 episodes behind everyone else

    • Welcome to M/Chef. We have watched all series on Ten as we can’t wait to see each new show.
Yes it is a nice show without lunatics yelling ang swearing nor contrived drama. We love this show 🙂

  7. bettestreep2008

I’m staggered that House Rules rated over 1m on Monday and is almost out of the Top 10 last night. Obviously the House reveals are the only episodes that rate well.

MCA hasn’t rated below 1m since it premiered. I think the consistently high ratings has nothing to do with the show itself but because Nine and Seven decided to put their reno shows on at the same time.

And later this year they will do it again with their music talent shows.

How much longer are viewers going to put up with this rubbish?

  8. Seven not the only channel with back to back reality shows think nine just pip them at the post for that, and nine programmes go for more nights per week also, they have three lots of renovations this year not two, think channels should go back to the drawing board and start afresh.

  9. It staggers me that seven can be happy with the below 600,000 viewers that Ramsay’s kitchen nightmares show is receiving. Perhaps they really have nothing else to show, considering they destroyed the ratings of a lot of their other shows this year with their wall to wall reality lasting up to 2 hours a night. Sad, considering Tuesday night 8:30 used to be a timeslot they dominated for years with Aussie drama.
