Report: Sigourney Weaver films Doc Martin appearance

Two names you never expected to see in the same sentence, but Sigourney Weaver has filmed an episode of Doc Martin, according to media.

Digital Spy reports she is a huge fan of the show and was spotted filming the seventh series outside a pharmacy in Cornwall, with many locals looking on.

Weaver was seen wearing a fisherman’s hat and a long-lensed camera, before entering the pharmacy with Clunes’ character.

ITV has yet to announce Weaver’s appearance or what role she may be playing.

  2. Like many shows reaching the end of their lives, a dearth of good storylines can be disguised by adding a “star” or two. This is the “last ever” series of Doc Martin so Sigourney will be an attractive diversion. Wonder what she’ll do when a large black lobster climbs out of Bert’s restaurant aquarium and heads towards her table.
    Lifeforms arriving by meteorite may well be mentioned by Prof Brian Cox in “Wonders Of Life” next week.
