The latest TV show in America’s remake department is said to be Fantasy Island, the hit 1970s series in which Mr. Roarke (Ricardo Montalban) and (Tattoo) Hervé Villechaize brought to life the dreams and escapades of their celebrity visitors.
A new version, in development for ABC network, would see a female character in the lead role, described as “a brilliant, dynamic and sexy woman who runs a San Francisco-based company that provides clients with his or her most intimate, dark or outlandish fantasy.”
The original Fantasy Island, produced by Aaron Spelling, ran from 1977-1984 before being briefly revived in 1998 with Malcolm McDowell.
The new project is being written by Sheldon Turner (Up In The Air), and becomes one of the latest reboots in the pipeline alongside Hart To Hart, The A-Team, MacGyver and Xena.

I might watch if Peter Dinklage plays Tattoo.
I’d be up for a new MacGyver, maybe MacGyver Jr where his son is now the one doing all the action stuff?
Yuck! Hate the way they remake the classics but then change everything
