6 Comments:

  1. David, why do Nine News and Seven News both get two entries in the weekday ratings for 6pm and 6:30pm bulletins when every single TV Guide I can find – including the ones accessed via Nine’s and Seven’s own websites – lists one bulletin at 6pm of 60 minutes duration. Are they fudging something somewhere along the line just to snare an extra position on the chart? Seems really undated that ratings results are skewed like that, particularly when the viewer and the TV guides we reference don’t give any impression that we’re watching more than one program. Interested to understand this better.
    Cheers,
    Matt

    • In a nutshell yes. The Chase is also 2 figures. I have filed on this before, noting that ratings should reflect the EPG listing. OzTAM needs to take a tougher stance -but it is owned by Seven, Nine and TEN.

  2. Hmm… interesting that X Factor isn’t in the demos but still has decent numbers in total viewers. I guess a lot of the viewers are under 16 and over 54.

  3. I don’t remember previous seasons of X Factor doing so poorly in the demos.
Last year, towards the end the Live Results 29th Sept 14 was:
    1.16m total viewers with 513k (25-54), 433k (18-49) and 253k (16-39)
Find it odd how it misses the top 5 in any of the demos.
