Renewed: Inside Amy Schumer, Broad City

US comedies Inside Amy Schumer and Broad City have both been renewed by Comedy Central.
Inside Amy Schumer was renewed for a fifth season. A true multiplatform hit, the series saw a six-fold increase season-over-season, with over 83 million videos streamed from the third season and won the first Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series.
“We are so excited to get picked up,” said Schumer. “I’ve gotten picked up many times, but this time feels the best.”
Broad City wins both a fourth and a fifth season, ahead of its third season premiere in February.
Season 2 was the #1 show in US cable in its timeslot with Men 18-34.
Joining Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson as series regulars are Hannibal Buress, Arturo Castro, Paul Downs, John Gemberling and Chris Gethard. Guest stars during the second season included Bob Balaban, Aidy Bryant, Patricia Clarkson, Susie Essman, Janeane Garofalo, Kumail Nanjiani, Kelly Ripa, Seth Rogen, Amy Ryan, Alia Shawkat and David Wain.

This is brilliant news for these very clever shows. Comedy Channel has already scheduled Broad City’s third season for 9:30 pm on February 22nd, 5 days after the U.S.
