SBS 2 begins an 8 part documentary Dark Net that explores a world where virtual and physical lives collide in ways that are surprising and sometimes disturbing.

Half-hour episodes lack into bio-hacking, cyber-kidnapping, digital warfare, online cults, pornography addiction, the webcam sex trade and more.

This will air with double episodes each week.

With our insatiable dependence on technology and connectivity, the internet is indispensable for billions of people around the world, enabling them to connect in ways they never could before.

Dark Net unveils the dangers of the internet, raising cautionary, thought-provoking conversations about technology and privacy and reveals an ominous and disturbing perspective of a digitall connected world where our every action is collected and stored.

The series has been developed and produced by Vocativ, a technology and media company that applies exclusive proprietary technology to search and monitor the deep web: the 80% of the internet that lies beyond the reach of regular search engines.
