What kind of twisted TV perversion is Release the Hounds?
No it’s not a Montgomery Burns special, it’s an ITV reality show in which contestants face physical challenges whilst outrunning a pack of guard dogs. I’m surprised the Japanese didn’t think of it first.

The 7 part series begins on SBS 2 on Friday.
Three unsuspecting contestants enter a dark and remote forest at dusk under the guise that
they have the opportunity to unlock chests full of money.
What host Reggie Yates isn’t telling them is that to win big, they must first conquer a string of gruesome and gory challenges to locate the hidden keys.
Being able to overcome the mental and physical hurdles is only the beginning of their challenge; can they outrun a pack of dogs trained to guard the cash once they release the hounds?
