Ross died in 2014 from pancreatic cancer. He was a newsreader on Channel 9’s Today Show from 1993, and came out of retirement for Channel 7 from 2004 to 2009.

As his defacto-partner, Gray Bolte is entitled to Ross’s $549,236 super nest egg, and his share of theld the court.

But Stuart Ross told the Supreme Court his parents’ divorce in 1975 was “acrimonious” and his father “did not speak at all” to his mother, Kirah Day, for 14 years.

Gray Bolte, 79, responded with slurs against Stuart Ross saying Seven hired 24 hour security for Ross, following alleged  phone and SMS threats  he said in his affidavit.

Stuart, a disability pensioner, has asked for a slice of his father’s $500,000 estate, of which Mr Bolte is the sole beneficiary.
