11 Comments:

  1. The NRL Melbourne Storm V Cronulla Sharks game reached 480,000 on average. A subscription TV record for this year for any program? Think that deserves a mention. One wonders if the NRL ever got their act together what free to air coverage of their sport would reap on Saturdays. Something the NRL has ignored to their loss for many years!

    • Yeap and according to the Age via the AFL:

“The AFL said the game’s peak national audience was 1.05 million viewers while the average combined national audience was 746,000 making it the second biggest women’s sporting show this year (not including the Rio Olympics), with only the Australian Open women’s tennis final topping it. Melbourne viewers averaged 387,000, comfortably ahead of the next best Saturday game this season which was St Kilda and Geelong’s clash on 347,000 and the Dreamtime at the ‘G game which averaged 331,000 viewers.”

  2. Any idea how spelling Bee on Eleven went? Maybe Ten should’ve kept it on saturdays. Then again they could’ve done another 80,000 viewer night like last week.

  3. Agatha Raisin – pretty mediocre, I bet its ratings decline sharply in the next few weeks, not even the ABC’s resident Saturday night audience will stick with something so bad. Repeats of Death in Paradise would have been better, if the ABC doesn’t have anything else new for that timeslot.

    • Secret Squïrrel

Yes, very disappointing. Watched in on iView after F1 qualy. Lasted 15 min.

Numbers down across the board. ABC News makes Top 5 in 16-39 and something called Extreme Railways makes Top 20 overall with little more than 200k. Audiences haven’t fragmented, they’ve abandoned FTA altogether.
