US performer, best known for The Wedding Singer & Pulp Fiction, has died.


US performer Alexis Arquette, best known for The Wedding Singer & Pulp Fiction, has died, aged 47.

She died following a long illness, surrounded by family & friends playing David Bowie’s “Starman” in line with her wishes.

Arquette was born Robert Arquette, brother of David, Patricia, Rosanna and Richmond Arquette before transitioning to Alexis Arquette, documented in the film Alexis Arquette: She’s My Brother.

She appeared in many films including The Wedding Singer, Pulp Fiction, Last Exit to Brooklyn, Threesome, Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror, Bride of Chucky, She’s All That, Clubland, Lords of Dogtown, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and more than 40 independent films.

TV credits include Californication, Xena: Warrior Princess, Friends, Felicity, Roseanne, Alien Nation and The Surreal Life.

On social media David Arquette wrote, “Thank you all for your love and kind words about Alexis. My hero for eternity.”

Soon after, Courteney Cox added, “My heart goes out to anyone who was lucky enough to know Alexis. We will love and miss you forever.”

  1. How sad, I was only talking about Alexis the other week with some friends, she had such a supportive family. That’s a lovely way to pass though, with family and friends and listening to a favourite song.
