This week on BodyHack Todd Sampson travels deep into the Amazon jungle and spends 10 days training with the famed French Foreign Legion.
Famous for accepting volunteers from any nation who are prepared to renounce their citizenship to fight for France, the recruits must pass one of the toughest training courses in the world.
In his quest to discover what our bodies and minds are capable of, Todd Sampson will be pushed right to the brink of death.
For 10 days, Todd joins a platoon of soldiers as they begin a jungle combat course like no other. After an unexpected setback, Todd perseveres through the drenching humidity to attempt a series of obstacle courses and to learn the skills of jungle survival.
All along he struggles with sleep deprivation and the risks from deadly wildlife, including anacondas, scorpions and blood-sucking bats. After hitting rock bottom, Todd finds his own resilience, pushing himself through pain, doubt and exhaustion.

This show is great gives people a account of what it takes to do mind of matter. Those teens complaining about HSC or other exams need perspective perhaps this show will give them that. Very courageous by Todd the Sampson
