10 Comments:

  1. It would seem a 9pm start for an Aussie drama (which seems like a norm on 7 and 9 this year with both 800 words and House husbands) results in lower nightly ratings. Lets hope the time-shifted numbers are enough to make a difference. FYI I use my PVR and record so I can watch at a reasonable start time, minus the adverts!

    • Yes, and the fact that they are following the competition shows which routinely run well overtime. Time to dial the competitions back to a few nights a week and have dedicated drama nights with the shows starting at 7.30.

  2. A rare win for 7 News Sydney… a sign of things to come perhaps?
Meanwhile, what’s happened to ACA? It almost killed Home and Away last year and now it’s neck neck with the (far superior) Project! Let’s hope Australia has finally had enough of this low grade gutter “journalism”.

  3. That is very low for MKR, especially in the Instent Restaurant rounds (which is where the show gets it’s highest numbers). I think I can see the beginning of the end of MKR (thank goodness).

I am going to make a huge call. If MKR doesn’t end this year (which is a possability if the numbers compleatily tank but unlikely) then MKR2018 will be the final season of the show (at least until it gets revived 5 years later, like BB). I also think that next year’s MKR will be an All Star season with past teams in a desperate attempt to draw back viewers.

Let’s come back to this comment in a year to see how right or wrong I was.
