Rob Mills debuts on Neighbours

Rob Mills makes his debut as school teacher Finn Kelly this Wednesday.

Rob Mills makes his debut on Neighbours this Wednesday.

He joins in the guest role of Finn Kelly, a progressive and respected school teacher appointed by Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne).

Despite Finn’s affable façade, it soon becomes apparent that there is more to him than meets the eye. How is his dark past connected to Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta) and why does she seem hell-bent on keeping their connection a secret?

The former Australian Idol singer and Young Talent Time host has previously acted in roles on Winners and Losers, Underbelly and Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door, in addition to multiple theatrical roles.

TEN Head of Drama, Rick Maier, said: “Rob joins the cast at a great time. Neighbours is currently doing its best numbers in years thanks to some fantastic story-telling. Rob’s character Finn is definitely one to watch and we are thrilled to have Rob on board.”

Neighbours Executive Producer, Jason Herbison, said: “Rob is a fantastic talent and I couldn’t be happier with his take on the character. Finn comes to Erinsborough High School with a clear agenda. I think viewers are going to love this story arc.”

Rob said: “I am super excited to be a part of Australia’s longest-running drama. The cast and crew have set an incredible pace and standard – I just hope I have kept up! Finn is a charming, talented educator carrying a big secret. I don’t often get to play the bad guy, in fact, I never have.”

Wednesday, 15 March at 6.30pm on ELEVEN.

  1. That was my point David. Whilst others, Blair McDonough, Dan O’Connor & Dean Geyer, went straight from reality to Neighbours, Rob has been very busy with other work and didn’t take the usual route.

  2. Thanks for the heads up. Saw him interviewed on Today Extra yesterday. He will also be starring in a new production of Jesus Christ Superstar in the leading role, later in the year.
