ABC Comedy share dips from ABC2
Ratings: Cricket helps Nine win first week of summer, and it's early days for ABC Comedy.

It’s only early days but the share for ABC Comedy* in its first week is down slightly on ABC2* the previous week.
ABC Comedy* (screening 6 of the 7 days) was 3.2%. ABC2* had 3.4% in its last full week.
Figures for newcomer Tonightly with Tom Ballard bounced around went as high as 89,000.
Meanwhile The Ashes helped Nine to take the first week of summer, although Nine News was the top show of the week at 1.39m viewers. The Good Doctor was the best entertainment show at 1.12m viewers.

Removing diversity of content into just reruns of old comedy shows was never going to workout viewership wise, but hey they might save a few bucks.
While entirely subjective, I think Tom Ballard’s show is simply not that good.
On iview…ABC Comedy takes up 12 lines….What???….Also a promo ‘Comedy Binge’…
Who would want to binge comedy….laughing for hours on end….it would get really old…really quick…
Summer non-ratings are such a boring time to watch TV, you find yourself constantly flicking through every channel but also getting stuck into shows (like overseas factuals / docos) that you normally wouldn’t. Apart from tennis / cricket of course.
True. Started watching Car Crash Global last week on ONE, not something I’d normally watch.
I have the Manchester Derby to watch tonight, then will get started on 6 hours of stuff I recorded last night while watching Inspector George Gently and sleeping. And there is still The Grand Tourx2, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Vikings, Berlin Station, Ride Upon The Storm, Catastrophe, Vietnamx2 and Elementaryx4 to watch this week. And I still haven’t had time to check out Chance yet to see if I need to keep recording it.
