Bachelor lifts TEN in non-ratings week

Ratings: Nine tops primary channels but Seven wins in network share.

Last week was non-ratings but it was good news for TEN, lifting from 13.2% to 17.1%.

Attribute that to Bachelor in Paradise and an absence of reality juggernauts on Nine and Seven.

Nine led primary channels and demos, but multichannels helped Seven over the line.

  1. I’ve never watched any of the bachelors , expect tiny last bits of Sophie’s season , but I’m getting into the whole paradise island concept and loving it . Hells love Keira because of I’m a celebrity, just because of her self awareness n entertainment value . Let’s hope for more seasons n even Alduts only specials .. or love island may just be that hopefully

  2. The AFL on 7mate in Perth has been so strategic the past 6 years.

It was a very boring week of TV, viewers left switching through multiple channels. Bachelor in Paradise was alright, but nothing amazing either, couldn’t believe it wasn’t on last night.

      1. Yeah you’re right, shockingly low rating night, even Channel 7’s 8:45pm movie could only manage 250k-ish (a tad lower than Channel 9’s after 9pm!)

Matilda, Perth is an AFL market, so games should be on the main channel (like Melbourne and Adelaide), but for prime-time they aren’t, they’re on 7mate. Yes, a lot of it is due to WA time zone and ACMA regulations regarding nightly news. But still, works a treat for Seven.
