  1. Olivia telemovie i found it was ok.Felt Delta did a great job.I sense perhaps people are over true stories.I never tend to watch them but did watch Olivia and Molly because generally you know all about it,apart from perhaps those small details. No matter what you thought of it certainly deserved more support than it did.Instead of watching singers turning up year after year trying. But you all know will fail.

  2. I watched both parts of Olivia well after they aired and having read some of the more savage comments about it so had low expectations, I thought it was ok. There were factual errors which jarred me more than the scripting or acting which were ok; given they are trying to track so many years and achievements into the two parts. I thought the young Olivia was pretty good.

  3. I think Delta did better than expected with a really poor script!
All of the singing moments were great and she sounded good acapella
that said the time jumps were extremely confusing

      1. I think you will find Delta asked for Olivia’s permission before accepting the part. As proven by them talking about it in this video youtu.be/X_qfR–IXgY

      2. I assume she took the attitude of “if you can’t beat them, join them” by the end. Since she dueted with Delta on the cross promo album

  4. I thought it also looked brutally under-budgeted with very limited production values. For a story of this type, spanning decades and countries it needed a bigger scope to its production. The ratings reflect the quality in this instance.

The EPG indicated The Voice was scheduled to go until 9.00pm, so a 9.40pm finish is pretty laughable.

        1. Happy to accept that – I last looked at the EPG mid afternoon so they may have updated it later on. Still a difference between 9.20pm and 9.40pm.

  5. I tried to watch Olivia too on both nights but only lasted minutes. Could never see Delta as Olivia. Bad casting. Seven should of given the Olivia Newton John more respect and a bigger budget or not of done it at all.

  6. I tried, I really did try, to get through all of Olivia, but had to admit defeat by the time she was battling cancer. The script was awful and it just thudded along, but it was the American accents many local actors attempted that made much of it cringeworthy. Delta is also not a strong enough actress to carry this. I really, really hope we don’t have any more bio mini-series for a while. David, let us know if anyone announces a Kylie or Nicole mini-series is in the works!

  7. Great results for Ten, top show in demographics on a Sunday is terrific. Even House Rules looked better, not sure why The Voice suffered a drop.

Are Ten trying to ruin one of their most successful and longest running shows, NCIS? I know it probrably won’t go on for too many more years, but that figure has to be an all time low for a new episode?

Trying to bump up a 25 year old show Roseanne, which nobody watched the first time round which only did 400k after MasterChef’s over 800k anyway last night. Safe bet NCIS would’ve done much better. Best lead-in and they’re ruining it.

    1. I thought Roseanne did pretty well with those figures, I can’t see NCIS Pulling that many because Roseanne has a broader base I think and NCIS is just same old crap every ep like House was

    2. Many stopped watching only because their favourite character left. I watch because its a good show still, they can’t help it if actors want to leave, and you can’t possibly make it the same as if they were still there.

  8. I saw about 10 minutes of Hopelessly Convoluted for You, gee this mini series makes Home And Away look like Citizen Kane.
Awful scripting …just flat. And Delta should stick to her schtick.
A final nail ( hopefully ) in the coffin of Aussie bio – pics for a while.
