Tip the Logies: Readers favour Amanda Keller for Gold

TV Tonight readers tip The Living Room to win big on Sunday.

Amanda Keller is the Gold favourite according to readers of TV Tonight.

The annual Tip the Logies survey again netted strong results for TEN with Keller also the favourite to take Most Popular Presenter and The Living Room leading the Lifestyle category.

This contrasts the bookies who have Tracy Grimshaw for Gold with Amanda Keller as her main competition.

Wentworth and Gogglebox lead their Drama & Entertainment categories respectively while the Actor & Actress categories are still too close to call.

  1. I was delighted to see Bert and Patti Newton walking through the airport today with not a care in the world – no one was bothering them and there were no photographers hassling them. I would have loved to say “Hello” to them, but I didn’t want to interrupt their peace. They were travelling alone. It really was a thrill to see them in the flesh.

  2. Ahahaha…..about 70% of nominations on this list are for TEN (people and shows). Go figure when TEN are at best the third rated station and ratings are well below 7 and 9. There needs to be a royal commission into this, it has become a complete joke. I guess a lot of people have given up….except TEN devotees.

    1. People voting here (the readers of TVTonight) are smart enough to know that the voting for the Logies is mostly done by the younger generations and using technology that subconsciously excludes many of the people who are the biggest users of FTA television. Therefore, they expect channel 10 to feature more highly than ratings or general popularity suggest.

  3. The Article stated that the Living was leading in the Lifestyle category. Popularity and quality have nothing to do with the argument. BH& G is streets ahead in number. Quality of any show is subjective

    1. Its the same in the Reality category. I’m A Celebrity is “leading”, despite MKR and First Dates rating a lot more than this show.

And in the Drama category – Wentworth’s numbers on Foxtel are a lot lower than that of, say, Home and Away and Doctor Doctor on FTA.

    2. BH&G skews to an older demographic, Living Room skews younger. Now that voting is done online, it tends more towards younger skewing shows. And also to channels that are better with social media to remind people to vote, which is why I think Ten punches above its weight a lot.

  4. I really hope Amanda does win either Silver or Gold. Though with Nines aggressive campaign for Tracy to win Gold, it will be hard for anyone else to win. Friends at Nine tell me that all staff have been told ( not asked) to vote for Tracy.
