Axed: Heads Up with Janine Perrett

"This is just one of those programming changes that often happen in TV," says SKY presenter.

SKY News has axed 11pm show Heads Up with Janine Perrett in which Perrett covers news and previews next day’s newspapers.

It has been replaced with Outsiders with controversial duo Ross Cameron & Rowan Dean, which has been in an 8pm timeslot on Mondays & Thursdays.

In June SKY announced a weekend edition of Heads Up with former Sunday Mail editor Peter Gleeson on Friday – Sunday.

Perrett is also a regular panelist on The Last Word and Paul Murray Live.

On social media Perrett thanked her supporters noting, “While I very much appreciate all your support I just want to clarify that I am still at Sky and this is just one of those programming changes that often happen in TV. I have had shows changed before and am sure there will be another opportunity at Sky soon. I’ll keep you updated.”

It isn’t yet clear what other plans SKY has for its 8pm slot.

SKY News has been contacted for comment.

  1. There’s no political realignment happening here except that Sky News is following the Liberals and sticking with their own Conservative boys club. if they got rid of Andrew Bolt, now that would have been interesting.
