Humans, the British-based adaptation of Swedish sci-fi Real Humans, has been axed after 3 seasons.
Executive producers Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent posted the news on social media.
“Sadly there won’t be a 4th season of Humans. In this agent of unprecedented choice and competition, we can have no complaints. Channel 4 & AMC were the perfect partners. They supported the show brilliantly and above all — let us make three seasons!” the duo wrote. “We know we left some threads hanging. That was the way we always wrote the show. Maybe one day we’ll get a chance to pick them back up. If there’s anyone out there with a few million quid and an interest in AI stories, we’re all ears.”
The UK-US co-production previously screened in Australia on ABC2. Season 3 is yet to screen here.

Any update as to if/when Season 3 of Humans will air in Australia? I wrote to ABC but haven’t received a reply as yet.
No. I wouldn’t be overly optimistic.
Hi David, I received a reply from ABC who advised:
I have checked our database and Humans Series 3 has been planned to start broadcast from Thursday 4 July at 9.50pm on ABC1 (repeat ABC1 5 July at 2.00pm). Episodes will also be available after broadcast on iview: iview.abc.net.au/show/humans.
I’m thrilled!!
Good job pursuing it.
It wasn’t as good as the Swedish version.
It would be nice if the abc could air the final season now, the bluray is out in the UK and the show aired late last year I think.
