MasterChef Australia: WA week

10 reality series is off to Perth, Margaret River and Margaret River.

MasterChef Australia heads off on another week showcasing an Aussie state (possibly with some input from a tourism board), this time Western Australia.

Kicking off at Optus Stadium on Sunday night, the contestants will face a mystery box challenge showcasing some of the best ingredients from Western Australia.

Monday night’s episode takes place at Perth’s Wildflower restaurant where contestants will have to cook a five-course degustation.

The winners from yesterday’s challenge will cook in Tuesday night’s episode for an opportunity to be fast-tracked into Finals Week.

On Wednesday we travel to the beautiful Leeuwin Estate Safari Club in Margaret River. Guided by head chef Dan Gedge, contestants will battle it out in a team challenge and create a three-course meal for 50 diners.

Next stop in Margaret River is Voyager Estate for Thursday night’s pressure test. The contestants will create two dishes at the same time and the least impressive cook will be sent home, falling short of making the Top 5.

WA Week concludes with a MasterClass featuring Karl Wulf, the Executive Chef of Pinky’s Beach Club, alongside Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris who will each showcase some of WA’s local produce.

7:30pm Sunday – Thursday on 10.
