No Worries
As a reporter, Peter Overton has covered too many stories to count. Many of them are memorable, but there’s one that people ask him about more than any other – Nick Vujicic. He’s a remarkable man from Brisbane who Overton first met more than a decade ago. Now excuse the pun, but Nick’s been dealt the toughest of hands. He was born without them. No arms or legs either. But has it stopped him? No way. As Overton discovers, Nick’s dreams are coming true as his life gets more and more wonderful.

Battlefront Hong Kong
Spare a thought for the residents of Hong Kong, who for the last three months have been living through the horror of their bustling city crumbling on the edge of anarchy. Their lives now regularly include dodging choking clouds of tear gas as police and protestors face off in increasingly violent clashes. Liam Bartlett, a frequent visitor to Hong Kong in the past, reports that he’s never seen anything quite like the city’s disturbing deterioration. Bartlett has spent the past week on the frontline of the battle and says that by revolting against the local government, millions of people are sending a very powerful message to Hong Kong’s masters in Beijing. However, what’s truly frightening is how the Chinese Communist Party leaders might respond to end the chaos.

Insiders Out
No one in Washington DC works harder than the person in charge of the red carpet, and whoever it is will be extra busy when our Prime Minister arrives in the next few weeks to have his back slapped by President Donald Trump. The White House has already signalled it’s setting the pomp and ceremony switch to extreme because the US-Australia relationship is so vital. But there could be problems. Two former high-profile Trump aides, Omarosa Manigault Newman and Anthony Scaramucci, have turned on the President and are now revealing damaging details about the inner workings of the White House. And as Karl Stefanovic reports, one of the most embarrassing claims is that the supposed “unbreakable” alliance between our two countries, far from being Trumped, was almost dumped.
