SBS looking for next News boss

SBS is still looking for a Director of News and Current Affairs following the resignation of respected news boss Jim Carroll.

Carroll is departing in November after 7 years with the broadcaster. He had 11 years prior with 10 and previously was a senior news and current affairs executive at the Nine and Seven Networks.

The role oversees its English language digital and broadcast news, and current affairs output.

Recruitment has recommenced after pausing during COVID-19, but SBS also notes previous applicants who applied in March / April need not re-apply.
