Returning: Don’t Tell the Bride

UK reality series in which grooms must plan the entire wedding returns to FOX Arena.

UK reality series Don’t Tell the Bride, which previously had an Aussie adaptation on 10, returns to FOX Arena.

Season 12 aired in the UK in 2016.

A couple is given three weeks and £15,000 to plan their wedding day. The only catch is that the groom has to plan every detail and the bride cannot be privy to any of the plans! In this age of equality of the sexes, women can do men’s jobs, and men can do women’s. But there is one area of life where the ladies usually lead and that is to plan their own wedding. Each episode follows a couple through the entire process of organising a wedding- but the twist is that the bride has absolutely no involvement, as she has agreed to hand over all control of the wedding to the groom. She has no idea where she’s getting married, or who is turning up, until the big day itself, and she won’t see the dress until just hours before she wears it up the aisle. Will the relationship survive the strain? Will the groom succeed in pulling together the perfect wedding? And is his idea of perfection anywhere near hers? In each 60 minute programme a couple is given fourteen thousand pounds to pay for their wedding day. There’s just one catch: the entire organisation, planning, decision making and management of the budget has to be completed in just three weeks… and just by the groom. The wedding is organised in top secret and the bride and groom have no contact until she walks down the aisle on the wedding day! The bride must sit tight while the groom and his best man plan the biggest day of her life, right down to her wedding dress.

Wednesday August 26 at 7.30pm on FOX Arena.
