Friday Flashback: Toasted TV

Queensland-produced kid's show ended today after 15 years on air.

The last episode of Toasted TV went to air today, bringing the kid’s show to an end after 15  years.

The Queensland-produced show hosted by Ollie McCormack and Lia Walsh included cartoons but also studio and location segments.

They included Letter of the Week, Facebook Watch, The Week That Was and regular sports with Kids Help Line while former show segments included Song on the Spot, Bike Wheel of Misfortune, Hollywood gossip by Delson Aspirin, and breakfast TV parody Toasted TV Rise and Shine Today.

Since airing in 2005 hosts have included Pip Russell, Dan Sweetman, Kellyn Morris, Palmer Marchese, Sean Kennedy, Seamus Evans, Jono Symons and Elly Bailey.

The axing impacted a small number of roles, although some staff work across other kids shows on 10 Peach.

  1. There seems to be less and less childrens show on now. At 4.30 you could have a childrens show on but oh no we get soap opera for adults instead. Channels should have to have a minimum amount of tv shows for kids.

  2. The ending of another children’s show. 😭 Why can’t it have been included on 10Shake? My favourite co hosts were Pip, Dan, Kellyn, Sean and Seamus .
