Earlier this week I was a bit critical of a Masked Singer behind the scenes special ignoring its own COVID outbreaka… but today I will acknowledge first pics of a grand final that was cleverly put together across 3 cities (Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland).
If you look carefully here you’ll spot Osher Günsberg and Jackie O. filmed in green screen from Sydney, and panel shots which put Jackie O. and Urzila Carlson beside Dannii & Hughesy on the panel. Given the circumstances and time involved, this has come up better than I expected. Looking forward to seeing the finished product on Monday.
This Monday, our last masks standing will compete for the highest distinction in The Masked Singer Australia Grand Finale extravaganza.
In the mother of all final face offs, our Queen, Frillneck and Bushranger will belt it out one last time, affording our crack unit of powerhouse investigators a final chance to place the voice behind their favourite performances, before it’s finally time to #takeitoff.
You better believe Dave Dad-Dancing Hughes, Jackie Knows, Detective Dannii and Urzila Clueson are commited to ending this season with a bang. The Masked Singer Australia is a wild ride and we never want to get off!

She is spotted in wider shots.
“Queen” couldn’t make it more obvious if she tried. She’s even (albeit on a smaller scale) replicated her elevated Eurovision performance here. 😉
It will be a fascinating watch from a production/post-production perspective.
It must be hard to disguise her voice as it is so distinctive.
