Nine takes out Christmas ratings week
Ratings: ...and how a coding error has pushed Carols in the Domain ahead of Carols by Candlelight.

Nine won Week 52 of 2020, but a coding error has denied Carols by Candlelight the top honours for the week.
On Christmas Eve it drew 971,000 viewers, but by yesterday the number had slipped to just 542,000 viewers. Why? Because a replay on Christmas Day was apparently not coded separately, leading to an average of both screenings. Nine even made the same mistake in 2018. Oops.
That leaves Seven’s Carols in the Domain as the top entertainment show for the week.

Congratulations to 10 for being on strategy. They have often said they are programming for 50 from 52 weeks of the year. With not one show in the top 20, this strategy is definitely executed with precision. (Assuming last week was one of the 2 they are not really bothering with when it comes to programming).
What do you expect? “Carols in the park”? Of course I would prefer to see something from Pilot Week or Shark Tank but people not going to watch that ….
they could trot out Rove over summer
