Wentworth‘s Vivienne Awosoga, who plays Judy Bryant in the Foxtel series, last night paid tribute to the late Betty Bobbitt.
“My mum bought me her book when I first got the gig, about her time working on Prisoner. She was such an intelligent actress,” she said.
Sadly Awosoga never got to meet Betty Bobbitt when filming the reimagined drama.
Bobbitt passed away yesterday following a massive stroke last week.

Betty’s Judy Bryant was one of my favourite characters in Prisoner. The Judy Bryant character in Wentworth is cringe. Nothing to do with the actress just a really weak and derivative storyline that has tarnished the series for me.
