Seven wins quiet Thursday
AFL helps Seven win Thursday. Game shows boosted by breaking news. SBS is up.

It was a very quiet Thursday as far as entertainment goes despite our two biggest cities in or nearing lockdown. But news continued to draw big crowds and AFL helped Seven win the night.
While The Chase topped entertainment at 581,000 / 415,000, the first number includes breaking news in Melbourne. Similarly up was Hot Seat at 534,000 / 388,000.
Meanwhile 7:30 led its slot at 575,000 then Home & Away (530,000 / 453,000 from 7pm), RBT (435,000), and Foreign Correspondent (399,000).
Later Paramedics led at 364,000 then Q+AÂ which was also up at 354,000. The rest trailed at some distance.
Seven’s AFL drew up to 432,000 across the Seven network.
Seven network easily won Thursday with 32.2% then Nine 25.7%, ABC 17.5%, 10 14.4% and SBS 10.2%.
Seven News pulled 1.08m / 1.01m for Seven. Movie: The Equalizer 2 was 225,000.
Nine News was 1.08m / 948,000 for Nine then A Current Affair (710,000). Kings Cross ER drew 297,000.
ABC News won its slot at 726,000. The Drum (207,000) and Australia Debates (83,000) followed.
The Project was 404,000 / 290,000 for 10. 10 News First was 391,000 / 265,000 then Diana’s Decades (213,000), Law & Order: SVU (132,000 / 108,000).
On SBS it was Great Asian Railway Journeys (190,000), Tour de France (187,000 across the network), SBS World News (187,000 / 137,000) and The Good Fight (93,000).
ABC News Hour led multichannels at 230,000
The Morning Show: 215,000 / 206,000
Today Extra: 140,000 / 135,000
Studio 10: 53,000 / 44,000

Survivor/bachelor can’t come soon enough for ten their primary channel came pretty close to being beaten by SBS primary primary channel

While I won’t watch either of those Ch10 shows, I’m just so sick of the promos – every single ad break, both come on. Almost a turnoff.
Those numbers for News Breakfast seem very low.
I thought news might be bigger (Thursday aside).
My mistake, S10 numbers.
