Season 8 of UK drama Endeavour begins on ABC later this month.
This screened in Britain in September.
The year 1971 has barely just begun and our heroes are still reeling from the events of the past year. Any hope of remaining on light duties has vanished and the team find themselves right back in the thick of it. The team looks set to face the greatest challenges of their careers as they each take on dramatic personal events as well as suspected IRA retaliations, cabbie assaults, and the most peculiar of crimes involving a college don. But, as DS Endeavour Morse (Shaun Evans) shows signs of a struggle with his inner demons, the team wonder if Endeavour is beyond the point of no return.
Friday 26 November at 8.30pm on ABC.

Interesting to see it run first on ABC. I would have thought it would be on BBC First ( Foxtel ), has there been a new deal ?
Originally 13th Street had the first run rights in Australia to a lot of mysteries including Vera and Endeavour. When Foxtel forced them out of business to start Sleuth, which shows repeats, they put their content up for sale to others. The ABC bought the first run rights to new seasons of Vera and Endeavour, and quickly showed seasons to catch up. Why would BBC First by ITV mysteries at then end of their run? They did buy Loch Ness but probably regretted it as it was awful.
That is prompt of them.
David, this is the precis for the episode of Grantchester that was on a couple of weeks ago!!
How odd… I will advise ABC.
