Natalie Barr said: “Whether you are in The Domain, your lounge room or at a mate’s place, this iconic Australian event will give you an excuse to kick back, relax and celebrate.
“Everyone in the country has been affected by the pandemic. We need a night like this to all come together and revel in the Christmas spirit.”

Surely it would have been better to move The Ashes to a multichannel and broadcast the Carols live on 7. Or just plan the event better and have just had it on the Thursday for this year.
If England play the way they did in the first test then Carols will be going out live
Looooooooove Carrie Underwood. That is awesome. Kind of looking forward to it now although i’m pretty sure the schedule of songs won’t change. Thats the thing, Carols in the Domain used to mix it up a bit back in the day but now it’s basically the same running sheet each year with different artists or some of the same, singing the same songs year in year out. Surprise us Channel 7 and give us something a bit different for once.
I still cannot believe that Carols in the Domain is being prerecorded, five days before the show is shown on Seven!
Yes, I understand Seven cannot broadcast it live in their traditional spot, because of the day-night test match, but whatever happened to showing the event live, like what happens with Carols by Candelight?
So not live anymore?. Being shown five days later
The gradual death of live TV on Seven.
The Carols event can’t be shown live this year because it clashes with the night session of the third day’s play of the Ashes cricket test from Adelaide Oval, which is on Seven.
No that’s over on Monday 20TH ,next test is Boxing Day ,it’s so it doesn’t clash with Carole’s by Candlelight ,David set me straight on this 😁.
Not sure what you’re referring to. You asked why Carols in the Domain wasn’t on Xmas Eve and I mentioned it would clash with Carols by Candlelight. Seven cricket guide is here.
Yes you did i got my dates wrong.
What an absolute powerhouse Carrie is and what a nice surprise. Will definitely be tuning in.
Carrie Underwood is a very popular country artist so I am sure there will be viewers who know who she is and she released a Christmas Album last year which I think has a special edition version this year so I would say it if fitting.
Carrie Underwood? Whaaat? And why?
Could be worse , Carole’s by Candlelight has Tones am I .
We obviously have a different definition of “worse”
Far better than the Home and Away cast on Carols In The Domain
