Armenia wins Junior Eurovision 2021

14 year old Maléna of Armenia wins in Paris.

14 year old Maléna of Armenia was crowned winner of Junior Eurovision 2021 this week with the song ‘Qami Qami’

19 acts competed at La Seine Musicale in Paris.

Whilst the song was placed third with judges, it led the public voting.

Maléna’s journey to Junior Eurovision champion has been a long one, having performed at Armenia’s national final a few years ago, and nearly joining the roster last year before the country withdrew.

Qami Qami impressed both viewers and juries, earning a grand total of 224 points, which was enough to finish in first place, with runners-up Poland and hosts France scoring 218 and 187 points respectively.

Australia did not perform for the second year running.

Junior Eurovision is not currently scheduled in Australia.
