The Newsreader to screen in Europe

Between Two Worlds also included in a deal between eOne and Nordic group.

ABC drama The Newsreader will screen in Nordic and Baltic states as part of a wider deal by eOne distributors and NENT Group.

Nordic Entertainment Group has acquired more than 700 hours of content from Entertainment One spanning titles such as Canada’s Family Law, Moonshine, Private Eyes, plus Hell on Wheels, Saving Hope, Cardinal, Into the Badlands, Mary Kills People, Burden of Truth, Bitten, Ransom, Haven, Rookie Blue, Deputy.

Seven’s Between Two Worlds is also included in the deal, which will also encompass Poland and The Netherlands.

“Our ground-breaking agreement broadens significantly our longstanding relationship and offers another opportunity to showcase some fantastic new shows and classic library series in a wide variety of territories and markets alongside our partners at NENT Group,” said Spyro Markesinis, eOne’s EVP of sales for EMEA and Asia.
