  1. I studied the book back in high school in the 90s, and it seems every decade or so there’s a new adaptation (we watched the 1980s adaptation in class and were also able to see the 1997 film with Gwyneth Paltrow as Estella). Hard to believe it’s already been over 10 years (2011) since the last series (which attracted some controversy due to the casting of Gillian Anderson as a supposedly ‘young’ Miss Havisham). Looking forward to seeing how this version plays out, the fact that it’ll be a six-parter is already a good start.
