Stars ready to reprise Criminal Minds

Joe Mantegna, Adam Rodriguez, and Paget Brewster amongst those ready for 10 part revival.

Former cast members of Criminal Minds are reportedly on board for the show’s revival.

Deadline claims Joe Mantegna, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, A.J. Cook, Aisha Tyler and Paget Brewster have agreed to reprise their characters for the 10 part revival which was announced for for Paramount+ almost a year ago.

Missing from the list are original cast member Matthew Gray Gubler, who had indicated that he was ready to move on after playing Spencer Reid for 15 years, and Daniel Henney, who stars in The Wheel Of Time.

Final negotiations have been delayed as ABC Signature makes a deal with longtime showrunner Erica Messer. Once the cast, ABC Signature, Paramount+ and Messer all come on board, the pieces will be in place for the series to proceed.

Producers are yet to confirm if it will follow a traditional, one-case-per-episode model or trace a longer case over the season.

“We are still very much in development on Criminal Minds,” Nicole Clemens, President, Paramount+ Original Scripted Series said earlier this week. “We’ll have more to share on that soon but it is alive and well.”

  1. To me the show lost its edge when Hotch left. For me he was the glue that kept the show going. Unless he returns l doubt the magic will continue. In part that is why it was cancelled as the ratings kept dropping. Fans in the USA are with me. The loss of Reid will be difficult to replace as well.
