WIN appoints Queensland News Director

Christian Jantzen returns to journalism, taking out top state job for WIN News.

WIN News has appointed Christian Jantzen as Queensland News Director, succeeding Corinne May who departed last month after 13 years.

Jantzen has more than 25 years’ experience in the media as a presenter, reporter and producer for all major Australian TV networks, in addition to FOX Sports News and SKY News Australia.

He was previously National Weekend Sports Editor for 10 News First and News Presenter for 2GB, but the role marks a return to journalism after two years in Real Estate.

WIN’s National Director of News Stella Lauri said “I’m thrilled to welcome Christian to the WIN News team. With his depth of experience and honed journalistic expertise, Christian will uphold our commitment to regional news.”

Jantzen added: “Communities across regional and rural Queensland deserve a dedicated news, sport and weather bulletin. I’m passionate about delivering news that connects with our viewers across the state–exploring the issues, people and events on their radar.”

Janzten’s appointment is effective immediately.
