Survivor junkies (you know who you are) can check out the next season of Survivor South Africa: Return Of The Outcasts fast-tracked to 10 Play in July.

I’m aware this edition has quite a few fans, so enjoy…!

Sure they’re all familiar faces but don’t be fooled, this is no All Stars season. These former Survivor South Africa survivalists are back to prove a point and settle the score, all while gripping the rugged Eastern Cape coast.

Cherry picking the best of the best from across five seasons, prepare to be faced with a mix of superior strategists, Survivor schemers, risk-takers and record breakers battling it out for the ultimate title of Sole Survivor, all playing out across four epic episodes each week.

Hosted by Nico Panagio and produced by Afrokaans Film and Television, this version of the world-famous Banijay reality competition is back with its ninth season and promises to be the best one yet. Who will outwit, outplay and outlast, South African style?

  2. David, the article says it is fast-tracked to 10play next week. But the end of the article says from the 19th of July. I got excited because I thought it was starting mid-July as well. Is it really fast-tracked to start next week?

  3. Survivor: South Africa is one of the best Survivor franchises out there! I can’t wait to watch another incredible season, but four nights a week is pushing it…

  4. The greatest of all the Survivor shows is here with a stacked, if slightly unconventional returnee cast (I realise was probably one of those fans you wrote about).

    Every one of their seasons since the series was rebooted (Season 6 in 2018) has been a hit and you should throw in S5 (2014 – last pre-reboot edition) as a hit season too.

    Seriously, Aus Survivor needs to take some pointers.

    IDK about the decision to go 4 nights a week (previous seasons were weekly), but if any show has earned that time commitment from fans, it’s SA Survivor.
