Cartoon Network launches ‘Cartoonito’ brand

Cartoon Network is launching a new preschool brand, Cartoonito in Australia and New Zealand today, July 4.

The dedicated morning programming block offers a modern approach to preschool programming, built to support each child’s unique potential.

Discovery Australia, New Zealand and Japan, said: “With the launch of Cartoonito we are now broadening our appeal to an even wider audience, offering a fun and safe environment for preschool kids to enjoy every morning with their family. Applying the humancentric learning pillars to all new and acquired content, Cartoonito supports the development of life skills in this very important period in kids’ lives which we know parents will appreciate.”

Between July 7-9, Cartoonito has partnered with Federation Square in Melbourne with fun activities for the whole family at the Cartoonito Play Zone.

Young builders can work together in the Bugs Bunny Builders construction zone, get creative with arts and crafts or enjoy the brand-new shows on Cartoonito on the big screen.

Tentpole shows in Australia and New Zealand include Bugs Bunny Builders (from July 30), Lucas the Spider, Mush-Mush and the Mushables, Ranger Rob, Alice & Lewis, Brave Bunnies, Mumfie, and Monchhichi Tribe. These sit alongside a growing slate of new and library series in a line-up that celebrates individuality and originality, while championing creativity, compassion and inclusion.

All Cartoonito shows follow a curriculum designed by early childhood education expert Dr Laura Brown to support the four pillars of Humancentric Learning: Creativity, Caring, Curiosity and Courage. The brand aims to inspire kids to use their imagination, to learn from their mistakes and to treat others with empathy and respect. For instance, Bugs Bunny Builders explores creativity through imagination, and Monchhichi teaches us about caring through teamwork.
