Better Homes & Gardens: Sept 9

A gazebo challenge, Nachos Dogs and Donut Crisps, this week on BH&G.

Tonight on Better Homes & Gardens, Johanna and Ed dish up Nachos Dogs and Donut Crisps. Yum.

Johanna + Melissa + Juliet – What’s Your Gazebo Style?
Gazebos come in all different shapes and sizes, choosing what’s right for you can be difficult. But once you’ve made that decision the next issue is how do you style it? Johanna has put Melissa and Juliet to the task; two completely different gazebos styled in two completely different ways. The results are stunning and there is a bundle of ideas for you to draw upon. From natural, green, lush and tranquil vs stylish, elegant and peaceful, Juliet and Melissa show how your gazebo can change depending on how you’ll use or just reflect your personal style.

Adam – Simple Style Kitchen Isle
Adam’s simplest project ever. Sure, we’ve said that before, but this really is the one. He’s building an industrial themed island bench made of metal plumbing fittings, castor wheels and a couple of panels of hardwood. All these materials are available off the shelf from the hardware store and it’s as easy as screwing it all together. This really is a project that’s achievable and will leave you with a functional and funky feature in the furniture department.

Ed + Johanna – Nachos Dogs
If you find it difficult to choose between nachos and hot dogs for a yummy dinner, Joh and Ed are going to become your new best friends. Because tonight, they’re going to show you how to make the best of both worlds, nachos dogs. They really are the best of both worlds, so make more than you need, because they’ll be popular. The only decision now is who does the washing up!

Ed + Johanna – Donut Crisps with Vanilla Ricotta Icing
Individually, doughnuts and cookies with icing have got to be two of the most delicious treats. But what if you could combine the two? Well now you can… sort of. Ed and Joh will show you a way to add cookie-like crunch whilst retaining the delicious taste of a cinnamon doughnut. Decorate this new hybrid dish with your personal favourite lollies over a ricotta spread and you’ll never see a plain doughnut as being good enough again.

Graham – Colour For Spring
It’s time to wake your garden up from its winter slumber. The Spring season is here and it’s a perfect time to get out into the garden and give it an injection of colour. Tonight, Graham will show us his top Spring favourites, so you can get down to your local nursery and buy those beautiful flowers that will transform your garden from shades of green to a sea of stunning colour!

Charlie – Create A Beautiful Garden from the Ground Up
If you’re about to design a garden, be it small, medium, or large there are few key elements you need to take into consideration. On this project, Charlie is taking you from the ground up with every layer, creating a garden that fits seamlessly within its natural landscape. Each step of the design will deliver you great information to make sure you’re purchasing the right plants and materials to make sure your new garden is just as pretty as you pictured it.
